Open Air Books: If there’s anywhere else in the world that has a bookstore so completely dedicated to the love of travel, I challenge you to find it. Come here to lose yourself.

It’s a little hard to find – go down the stairs on the southeast corner of Adelaide and Toronto St.

25 Toronto Street, Toronto, ON M5C 2R1, Canada‎ – (416) 363-0719

The phenomenal India/Himalayan section. The pile of books on the floor fell on my head while I was perusing.

What a place. What a crazy, rickety collection of travel tomes. It’s like Hogwarts Library meets Paul Theroux.

I must never go there, ever. Because right now, I’ve a good idea of where I am. If I went there, I would indeed irretrievably lose myself, never to be found.

If you could see my face right now, it would remind you of Homer Simpson gazing at donuts.

Mike, come to Toronto and I will implant you with GPS and homing device. I’ll drop you off at OAB and reel you in when it’s time for supper. Your travel soul and stomach will be well fed. Worth the trip?! Indeed.

You’d have to get a professional tug-of-war team to drag me away.

    Or a team of surgeons.

    Ghlarghlarrghharr. Boooooooks. *unsightly drooling*

But you haven’t tried my cooking. Wait, who am I kidding, I barely butter bread.

Agreed, perhaps it would be risky. Live dangerously, I say.
